So, you think you want to join Thirty-One Gifts? Great! If you’re like me, there are about a bajillion questions running through your head. I’m going to answer those questions openly and honestly so you can make the best decision for you and your family. All information is current as of 10/11/2020.
1. How much does it cost to join Thirty-One?
There are three enrollment kit options to choose from, which you can read more about in this article: Fall Enrollment Kits. They are priced at $59, $99, and $179 and do incur shipping and tax. Fun fact: There was only one option when I joined (2015) and that was the Signature Kit for $99. With shipping and tax, my total was $114.14.
2. Are there any additional fees once I join Thirty-One?
For $16.95 per month (plus tax), Thirty-One Gifts provides you with a replicated website, which is how people order online. They will also send branded emails to your customers that highlight the monthly specials, sales, new products, etc. THIS IS AN OPTIONAL SUBSCRIPTION! You may cancel, or subscribe, at any time. That being said, I recommend you keep both as they have been instrumental in growing my business.
3. What is the requirement to remain active?
Consultants must submit $200 in sales every rolling three month period (the current month plus the two preceding months). One qualifying party ($200 minimum for Hostess Rewards) is all it takes to remain active. Also, see question #6.
4. How much do consultants earn and how do I get paid?
Consultants earn at least 25% commission on each sale and are paid via Direct Deposit on the 10th and 25th of the month. There is an opportunity to earn more in commission as you advance or special opportunities arise.
5. What about taxes?
You’re considered an Independent Contractor by Thirty-One Gifts and will receive a 1099 tax form directly from them.
6. What’s the consultant discount?
Consultants enjoy a 25% discount on all products and your personal sales count towards the $200 minimum to remain active!
7. Are there sales incentives or specials for Consultants?
Yes! Thirty-One Gifts offers consultant-only specials and incentives throughout the year. When you join, you’ll be part of AMP Jumpstart, which is a simple program that rewards new consultants with free products for jumpstarting their Thirty-One business. We have early access to Outlet Sales on occasion, too.
8. But I’m not a salesperson?
Good, because people don’t want to be sold to. They have a problem area (disorganized home, lack of storage, etc.) and we offer solutions. I pride myself on not being salesy or spammy.
9. This all sounds great, but what if I decide it’s not for me once I join Thirty-One?
Then it’s not for you and that’s 100% okay! We let Home Office know and you keep everything you purchased, earned, etc.
10. Isn’t Thirty-One a faith-based company? What if I’m not religious?
It is and that’s okay! There are consultants of varying faiths, including agnostics and atheists, and you are not required to participate in any religious activity as a consultant.
